You only have to look at Congress (if you have a strong enough stomach) to see that there are disagreements within the two major parties.
It is logical that people who spend a significant amount of time on firearms-related forums would consider gun-rights to be a defining issue. To many people, it is not. There are a lot of other things in this world to be concerned about.

When a person "labels them self" as A, but their actions supports B, I call that the very definition of being a hypocrite. Kind of like Congress and out spoken movie stars who support and pass laws, "they themselves" never intend to live by ..
