6mm ARC

I'm thinking of starting on the short end: MONSTER 12 and MONSTER 16 in 6mmARC. My button on order has a 1:7 twist to stabilize up to 110gr 6mm at short barrel velocities at 0° and 0 ft. altitude. SAAMI is 1:7.5 so it's not THAT different, but just enough to be ideal for short 6mmARC barrels.

I personally prefer shorter barrels because I run cans all the time, but in this case I think I'll go maybe 20" first. I already have the 16" 6.5 Grendel for deer/antelope thumping, my interest in the 6mm ARC is mostly for LR AR fun out where the 73gr ELDs out of my Wylde start to give up the ghost. I think the ARC, being a bit smaller than the 6mmAR, is going to need every bit of barrel length I can put up with (20" is it, more is too long in an AR-15, for me).

I am interested to see what velocities folks get out of different barrel lengths. Seems like 90gr Accubonds, or 95gr BTs would be excellent deer medicine out of this cartridge.
