I'm at a loss to explain the discrepancy. Standard lead-core Ball bullets are 140gr. Steel-core projos should weigh much less, and 112gr seems about right.
If your specimens actually have tungsten cores, that would account for their heavy weight.
That's a thought. I've never actually checked them with a magnet. I took what I was told for authoritative.
