My MONSTER 6mmARCs will be priced the same as my 6.5 Grendels. For example, a MONSTER 12 6mmARC will be $133 and a MONSTER 20 will be $149 — at a quality and accuracy level giving nothing away to Faxon and Ballistic Advantage.

Unfortunately, availability is way out there. I guess when you're not Barrett even your reamer orders get put to the back of the line. Seems these vendors had secret advance notice and have already been working on it for 8 months, according to my reamer maker. I first heard of it with the rest of you guys when somebody posted the 6mmARC SAAMI print. Anyway, reamer is due in a month and a half and then, what, two months — at least — after that to complete barrels?

In the meantime, hey, my new design MONSTER UltraLite Three-Prong Flash Suppressors came in!

Since I am low on ammo, and new to the 6.5 Grendel anyway, I may go 6mmARC.

I have found the advertised velocities, of 6.5 Grendel, way below the claims. Even reloads I can’t push much past factory without pressure signs. The pills are not as wide a selection as I would like that work with OAL. I couldn’t get 95gn TNT’s to group. So I was stuck with 123’s that did.



All I lose is a barrel and a die set. The Monster barrel deal is almost too good to pass up. I would love to hear some real world numbers on 85gn to 110gn velocity, per barrel length, and accuracy. I suspect the 12” barrel will be too short to get full powder burn. Being a smaller pipe with similar volume case. Might just be the perfect 14.6” pinned combination.

Well I have to ask mods, that shut my thread down in the reloading section to move it here. There is current product linked. BA and Brownells/Faxon barrels for sale now. That way we can get the Johnny be Quick’s to start load developing.
