And yes I do have a lot of experience with hurricanes (30 yrs),stores running out of supplies,looters ,hoarders and price gaugers. A smart man learns after his first mistake. A wise man learns from others mistakes. I would say Ive done a little of both. For the last 25+ yrs,Ive stayed prepared with all supplies year-round. Batteries, ammo,propane, bottled water, gasoline,canned foods,easily prepared foods and pet supplies.And I keep all my emergency equipment on hand in running order and my shutters marked and organized for easy installation . I avoid last minute shopping like the plague.And I do this not only for me, I have a woman and pets to take care of.
