If the DOD is using it and most battle happen under 300 yards seems like the 6.5G would shine better. Hell the 6.8spc would as well. Think I would want the extra weight. I don't think the 6mm would really pen that much better. I have heard people say 6.5C pens better than 308 but most test I seen the heavier 308 out pen it. Maybe I'm missing something. I may still build one just to play around with something. Always looking for something to replace my 300 blackout pistol with 8" barrel.

All the info out there about 6ARC says DoD requested a cartridge to overmatch enemy combatants at 600+ meters, and that 6.5G was considered but not adopted because it had inferior intermediate barrier penetration characteristics when compared to 6ARC.
