The people who entered that gated community knew it was a gated community.Does not matter whether the gates are locked or not,it was trespassing.And if you saw a mob illegally trespassing in a private community, you’re telling me you wouldn’t grab a gun?

Once they tresspassed they were no longer protesters, they were rioters.

Red herring. None of the protesters entered the McCloskey residence, sat in their recliner, drank their beer and ate their popcorn while watching HBO.

Apparently you didn't listen to the video the verbal threats were there and numerous and in actions witnessed in the video.

In the videos I watched, I did not hear any threats to kill the McCloskeys. Can you link to the video(s) wherein such threats are discernible?

The only actions threatening lethal violence that I saw were committed by the McCloskeys. Scenes like this are likely why they're in trouble.
