My understanding of Missouri castle doctrine law is that is pertains to intruders in your home, not trespassers on your land or in your community. The BLM folks did not appear to gain entry or attempt to gain entry into the McClosky home.

Weather you believe they were or weren't being threatened or if they abuse the legal system is irrelevant. It is what can be proven in a court of law...The mob was trespassing and BLM has a history of violence, arson and vandalism, which is a reasonable assumption they were in immediate threat. Of course once again, it is what the legal system will determine that counts...
