Was the offer rejected on the basis of offering price, terms of agreement, or simple resistance to a new player in the firearms field?

Is there a chance the Navajo Nation might be able to to re-engage in discussions?

I got the sense the Navajo Nation wanted some assurance they would be absolved of Remingtons past if they purchased them in bankruptcy and could start over with a clean sheet paper. Then there was a court ruling handed down to the contrary, and the deal disintegrated soon after.
