You're right - but please bear in mind, that the very act of me having my principles, values, etc, and living my life according to them, does not, by default, constitute "infringement" - even if they run contrary to someone else's. I do not think this way for myself, nor do I think that way for others. I'm perfectly content to let you be you, even in cases where I don't agree. I think that as a soldier, you would agree that this is the very substance of liberty.
Do not mistake what I say. What is "blind loyalty" to me, may be revelation to you. That's for you to understand for yourself, and not to try to convince the uninitiated. For me to expect you to think as I do, would be to demand the same thing that I decry, and thus, make me a hypocrite. Point being - I'll be me, you be you. We will both operate from our own points of view, and we can have a truce that preserves a basic respect, which in turn, allows us to agree more strongly, on something else, some other day. Or we can just take the path of least resistance, and burn it all down right away. One of these is my way, the other is not. But along the way, if either of us recognizes an error in our thinking or modus operandi, surely conscience dictates that we self-correct... (or so I believe)
