Only the dead can be trusted, and not even all of 'em. The world is a terrible place we're sentenced to suffer for life, unless we have the courage to leave early. That's my perspective. Seriously, I don't know how you get out of bed every morning. I'm thankful for every day I have on this earth and the blessings I have been given. One thing I learned early in life is that life is not fair and people are people, good and bad. I've had broken legs, ribs, facial bones, fingers, been shot, had to fight almost daily from 4 years up into adult hood, grew up with the worst serial killer in Montana's history, had a good friend and his wife murdered by a transient psychopath in their remote wilderness home, seen co-workers crushed, mangled and killed on construction and logging jobs. I raised my oldest son from an infant by myself and actually never had any sleep for days on end, as I could not afford to stop working. I would slap myself in the face repeatedly to keep awake. I was blessed since I had once held a friend as he cried in my arms after losing a child. I have lost many loved ones and friends throughout my life because of alcohol, drugs and poor choices. Compared to my parents, grandparents and great grandparents my life was a walk in the park. Yet I never once heard them complain or walk around feeling sorry for themselves. They maintained their morals, decency and religious beliefs until their last days. They always remembered the good things in their lives and laughed at the hardships they would recant to us. They understood life is a gift and to be thankful for it.. They made due with literally nothing and met problems head on without fear and did it with love and joy. I was taught by my parents, the worst character flaw a person could have was to feel sorry for yourself. We are only victims if we choose to be. That is my perspective.. Rant over....
