Thanks to all for the warm welcome. There is just something special about the firearms/hunting community. I am blessed to be able to be part of it.
just_john, speaking of helping to build a grocery list, I have posted in the Grendel AR/Semiauto sub-forum about what I'm looking for in a 6.5 Grendel AR. Rather than restating this, if you are so inclined, please read my post there and thanks for the offer to help (which I do need). BTW I am not interested in building an AR, as I am older than most and just don't want to do this. I just want to get a complete AR15 ready to go (I'm not much fun, I know). BTW I have done projects in the DFW area of Texas. On one such project my hotel was within sight of Cheaper Than Dirt and a Cabelas & Bass Pro were within easy driving distance. I'm sure there were many smaller gun shops in and around that area as well. Gotta love an area like that.
