It does look like your scope might be too far forward. You might also think about getting some 45° angled mounts for your backup sights. I did that on my M4 clone 'cause the rear sight couldn't be flipped up. Then I just took the scope off & installed an Aimpoint red dot instead. I returned the backup sights to the top rail. You can see them through the Aimpoint lenses in case your batteries die & have no red dot. You don't have to fuss with eye relief with a red dot either. Sighting options are nearly limitless. Just find what suits you best.

I moved the scope back onto the receiver this morning and it works some better. I had considered a holographic type sight on a 45° mount as a backup. I have a red dot on my 300 Blackout with my open sights co-witnessed for use when/if the battery should conk out. I am still thinking about the 1-4x24 for this one and putting the 1-6 back on my AR-10.
