Ballistics question for surplus optic

Welcome to the forum Stephen. There have been several threads discussing using a 308 ballistic drop reticle for the 6.5 Grendel. You can use the google custom search feature to find threads on a similar topic. I’m not familiar with that specific Elcan but most others are 1x or 4x. I’d zero at 50 or 100 yards then see how close I was on at 200 or 300 and then adjust. If the Elcan only has 4x then I suspect it will work pretty well out to a few hundred yards. The 4x would limit my ability on anything but shooting steel past 200-300 yards.
