I ended up grabbing a set of Talley's for 700 in extra low. They protrude a bit, like the DNZ's but not as much as Leupold standard bases and rings. The Leupolds did get the scope down tight with extra low rings though, too tight to fit the Butler Creek style caps.

Can someone tell me what I did to cause the pics to show up rotated in the post but correct if I click on the image and it opens larger? I did read the posting pics thread and thought I had it correct.
