however, it's the featherweight barrel yours may be standard sporter Howa do three profiles well at least we can get 3 here. in theroy a 6.5 barrel should be lighter than a 223 barrel of the same profile as there's a bigger hole and less steel in a 6.5
Right, Grendel, lol...I had a 20" lightweight and 22" standard at same time, I could not tell difference in profile but I didn't measure, the 20" looked identical to the 22" all the way out except 2" cut off the 22" to make the 'lightweight', and knowing as much about legacy/howa would we expect much else?, so close that when I chose to sell one I chose to sell the lightweight as I knew I'd be chopping one of them anyway, so may as well chop the 22" as the 20" was more desirable to sell, harder to find. And from recollection from weighing both barrelled actions there was 4 oz between them.
