It really boils down to how far your going to shoot and how much your willing to spend to get the accuracy. The OP was wanting to shoot the 6.5 Grendel to 1000 yards. Depending on your elevation there are better cartridges for shooting 1000 yards. Ive shot to 1000 yards with the 6.5 Grendel in the midwest at 450 ASL and learned it was easier to shoot 1000 yards when I was at 7200 ASL while in Wyoming.
If your serious about shooting to 800 - 1000+ yards the 6 ARC would be worth considering if your wanting to use a micro action.
