It's so easily defeated that it won't work, simply touch the end of the firing pin to a sandpaper wheel, and there goes the microstamp. Firing pins are easy to make, I've seen AR firing pins made from nails.

And how many REGISTERED, non stolen, guns are used for crimes anyways? All this tells you is who bought it in the first place, and that information isn't supposed to be available. Its just one more gun control measure that won't work because criminals don't obey laws.
