I would say your over gasing then, you have to set it such that the bolt locks back on an empty mag

Yep.. thats what i ment when i said "i adjust it to where the bolt will lock back" on a empty mag. I turn the gas almost all the way off, then open it 1/4 turn at a time til the bolt locks back on empty mag, then a 1/4 turn more.
