Have you chronographed the Hornady 123gr A-MAX yet? Shoot at least 10 rounds over a chrono to get your average, while also doing an accuracy test at 300yds.
Run the numbers through your ballistics program, and you'll have your zeroing data. Make sure to input the atmospheric data as taken from a good barometer and or weather station unit.
If your extreme spread is outside of 20fps, you're going to suck at distance, and if you're within 1000ft of sea level, you will hit transonic well before 1200yds.
