Attention Admin - McAffe has flagged this site for some reason

I can still access it on my phone.

But here is what appears if I try to view the website at work.

I got the McAfee "Whoa!" too. I accepted the risk.

Shoot I just found out my old ex employer is buying AR's for certain lucky individuals... I finally regret not working there! But they probably block those web sites as well! Lol. Was such a Hippocratical co... Place was hilarious! Clueless then and they are clueless now. I'll give you a hint all of our lives depend on them.. if you work for them don't go asking around to much if they find out they WILL stop it!

I got the same warning from McAfee. I think the network admins need to look into this, at a minimum explain what is happening, and hopefully make some changes so that this warning doesn't continue. I'm not very comfortable overriding the av software on an ongoing basis.

Do a search on McAffee or most of the other anti-virus programs. It and Norton, AVG, and other bloatware have pretty bad reputations, and have so dating back for many years.

Most PCs come with some kind of outdated bloatware garbage anti-virus program that hackers have cracked long ago, and everyone in the security industry laughs when they hear Norton, McAffee, and other bundled programs designed to raise the margins for large PC manufacturers.

There is also an effort to make it more difficult to view firearms related websites, but this is usually done with employers' servers and business servers.

I am more than a bit of a computer nerd. Did I mention that my favorite number is pi? I've been writing code for 35 years and have been using Norton for as long as I can remember. Last company I worked for had McAffe for a while and it was fine but they switched to Norton. I've also heard good things about Kaspersky and Bitdefender. If you don't want Norton then one of those two would be fine.

My son is an IT thank God since I'm computer stupid. He said Sophos, Eset are good but we use MSE with a hardware firewall if this helps. I have never had a problem with my set up. He does not recommend Norton or McAffee.

i just use what comes with microsoft nowadays at home. never had a problem

at work we use eset, seems to be ok

norton and mcafee are so bloated they slow a machine way too much

I just started getting the message from McAfee today.

Sometimes it is based on the IP number. If your IP number has changed, and it is now the number of a previous bad site, you can get this.

The current IP number is 50.116.64.22. I checked on some blacklist sites and it was flagged by two blacklists in Denmark: spamsources.fabel.dk and dev.null.dk

You may need to contact those sites and get un-blacklisted.

That IP is owned by bluehost.com. It seems safe to ignore this warning. Might be worth opening a ticket on this and see if they won't give you a different IP.
