First, allow me to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the well-wishers and those who are/were praying for me. As I explained to kmon, prayers are sustaining.
This experience has taught me there is never any such thing as “routine“ surgery. Between the kidney failure, liver failure, and respiratory failure I needed all the prayers I could get and then some. Now that I am home recuperating, I am tasked with one of the hardest recoveries I’ve experienced. The real pain is that I am not allowed to lift anything more than ten pounds, and driving or shooting is absolutely off the list of permitted activities. It could be worse. Again, thanks to all you saints and well-wishers. It’s good to be back.
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

Im glad I pray that God is with those who need Him as a heart felt habit. Ashamed to admit that I read this all too late, but will pray for ya specific henceforth Nuggin!

Thanks. It is proving to be a tricky recovery but at least I’m still in the oxygen exchange program.

Glad to hear you're home! Are you sure you don't just have a liberal doctor who would take shooting off of your permitted activities list even if you were 100% healthy?

I can’t speak for what they might permit were I 100%, but there’s no question that shooting is a bad, bad idea while my sternum heals.

Glad to see you home and recovering. You can always put the butt of the rifle against your forehead....

Continued prayers, even tho' you're home. I'm two weeks passed having prostate removed, hoping to be released from Doc tomorrow to do a few things, but I didn't have the complications that you had. Glad you are home!
