6mm grendel dies

A5B, just to make sure you are aware: Redding FL bushing dies are essentially a full length sizer with flexibility in neck diameter. I only say this because of your reference to bolt guns gives me the impression that you regard these as being like conventional neck dies...and they are not. The FL bushing dies work just fine for an AR. I'm using this die for two ARs in 6mm AR. I chose the .268" bushing.

Yes I know how they work. I have both a fl bushing die and a bushing neck die and body die combo.

Any time you use a bushing to size down the neck, you end up with a small section of the neck just proud of the shoulder that doesn't size down.

I'm fine with that in my bolt action grendel but have zero interest in useing brass that has had their necks sized with a bushing in a ar grendel.

Until I can get my hands on a real fl 6mmar sizing die, I won't be the owner of a 6mmar ar rifle.

Heard there is a new 6mm AR round coming out in the next few months from one of the BIG ammo makers. Not sure what it will be exactly but very well could be off the Grendel case. They do have a history with the Grendel.

Pretty much narrows it down to Hornady or Nosler. Federal is so invested in 224 V I can’t see them pursuing a 6 mm/243. Hornady was first to help SAAMI the 6.5 Grendel and would be my bet for a 6 mm using the 6.5 Grendel case. It’ll be interesting to see if they go with the Turbo or pure necked down 6.5 Grendel case.

I don’t see any viable reason to go with a 6.8 SPC or 5.56/223 case.

Hornady backing up 6mm AR would be a great move to wipe out all the messing around with these other compromise cartridges.

It would be the ideal competitive target AR and varmint/light/medium game AR option if it had factory support.

Smokes the .224 V at distance work without needing to push pressures.
