Va Dimms push the AR ban in state House of Delegates

Looks like the Va House Dimms have forced onto the House floor their bill to ban AR 15's..... unless of course, you get onto the VCIN (Virginia Criminal Information Network) that's where they will record any "permit" someone gets from Gov Blackface to "own" one.

This post is an update for those interested. It hasn't passed the full House, and might still have trouble in the Va Senate, but it had been basically dead until this morning, so I don't know what exactly may have gone on in the smoke-filled back rooms with Gov Blackface and his cohorts.

We need to stay tuned.

What being listed on that VCIN means, is that every time you get stopped for running a red light or for speeding, your name will pop up as a "criminal" and they will have the opportunity to stop and search your car etc... not saying anything other than you are branded as criminal from there on out. Which is certainly their intent!

The ATF knows where all the cans are at and if they share this info with the state, all they have to do is pay you a visit?
Even though you've met all the requirements, you are now an outlaw. I guess the same thing applies to full autos too.

I just downloaded the revised (substituted) bill from the House Public Safety comm.
On first read it does appear that current owners might be, like, unmentioned, so possession may be ok --- not purchase however. And no mention in this text of registering it or getting a permit.
It does ban "high-cap" mags which is defined as a removable mag of over 12 rounds. If you have some of those you can surrender them or move them out of state to some other legal place.

AR's seem to be verboten to "import, sell, transfer, manufacture, or purchase..." but possession is left out. Apparently.

And suppressors seem to be likewise: unlawful to "import, sell, transfer, manufacture, or purchase a silencer..."

Mags over 12 rounds, have the "possession" forbiddenness included.

Children under 18 can't possess or use any, pretty much, except under some parental, on own property, etc allowances.

I'm still tracking this one, who knows what's next but this much happened today.

Also, there were people there to state their opposition to the bill and were waiting for a chance to speak to the committee but they were forced to leave so the legislators could continue amending and voting on the bill behind closed doors.

Mags yes. Silencers, like I said, possession seems to be ok, ie not prohibited in the bill, but if you don't have one you won't be able to get one.
Sale of AR's, to be banned. Possession, again, seems to be allowed.
Also, I'm not in favor of it at all, but do want us to keep the facts straight so we know how to fight.

One sly caveat I do think is hidden in here, and that is elimination by strangulation... choking off any supply parts.
Since you won't be able to buy "assault weapons" and that term includes certain specific parts as they exist by themselves, you won't be able to buy those parts for repairs or upgrades or swaps, either.

I am thinking,if you are in possession of the firearms they ban you will probably be required to register within a certain period of time.

The bill doesn't mention that, it has been taken out as far as the language goes...
And, registration was Gov Blackface/babykiller's first "offer".
But that possibility of a backdoor effect, has occurred to me.
I think some other states have a ban on sale but not on possessing (ie grandfathering), haven't done much looking into them however.

Libs are all about controlling and regulating.And they would probably also demand that you pay to register those firrearms.Personally,I would never register my firearms.Registration is the first step to confiscation.

Scary situation for you guys. I cringe when I read about stuff like this. I live in Florida,where we are on the verge of becoming a liberal state. All you really can do is get out on election day and vote straight Republican all the way on your ballot.

It can happen anywhere, this was Bloomberg's first big attempt outside of the lib NE/West coast. So it's coming to a legislature near you. He pumped millions into local DA races, local legislator races, to buy politicians. He even imported one of his ex-Calif radicals to get into the legis, he's the one who "wrote" all these bills.
The war is not over, we have simply staved off the biggest-ticket item, but they will be back next year for sure.
We HAVE to do our homework all the rest of this year to get ready.

Any liberal presidential candidate would be bad for our second amendment rights ,but Old man Doomberg would be the worst . He?s 100% against the Second Amendment.He backs unethical police tactics such as stop and frisk.He praises Chinese communism. And so much more that I?m not gonna mention because this forum is about the second amendment,not politics. I would suggest if you don?t know anything about him to educate yourself.
Right now Bloomberg is trying to buy the Democrat nomination. He has a lot of support and I?m thinking he could do it. Whic is why we need to get out in droves and vote Republican all the way!
