Just read your description on the website. Regarding "requires 2pc scope mount"....... can you elaborate on that any? So a pic rail over the top is a definite no go?

If you have pencil thin fingers than you would be good to go, or if you have a picatinny rail that sits higher than normal.

The opening between a full length rail and the receiver is very small and there isn't much room for loading if you use a 2 piece mounting system you gain at least another 1/4 inch if not more depending on your ring height.

Here's a status update for those who are curious, all the follower springs, hinge pins, and such for the first batch have arrived.

My main order of material has finally shipped and is somewhere on a truck making its way towards my shop from somewhere in the midwest.

I have most fixtures made for production and now it's just a waiting game for some miscellaneous cutting tools I need to begin actual production. Hopefully things will start moving quickly as soon as the last bits come together.

I plan on supporting all calibers in the howa mini eventually, right now I'm focused on 6.5 Grendel and by extension 7.62x39.

will the shape of the follower and box magazine be the same for both 7.62x39 and the 6.5 Grendel? i would think if so, one of them is going to have feeding issues. the 30 russian short is so tapered, whereas the 6.5G is not...

yes it is, in my testing both fed with the same follower. The follower spring tips up to push the rounds evenly.

Here's an update for anyone who still cares, all my material has arrived and I am in production now.

My original design was a staggered feed traditional box but I didn't like the way it scratched up the brass as it slid along the unfinished receiver rails. I switched to a top loading, centerfeed internal magazine that doesn't scratch the brass anymore.

This current design is going to evolve into a truly flush detachable magazine in the future.

You load the magazine by pushing the round straight down into the top of the feed lips.

The magazine has no internal ribs only a draft angle to keep the rounds pushing upward with even pressure, so if the case head is close to the Grendel or 7.63x39 you should be good
