CZ 527 18” threaded

New to me Cz 527 cut down to 18” threaded. The threads are 1/2x28 for a suppressor. Anyone know of a flash hider that will work most are 223 call in that thread.

Unclear what is the issue that you are having with the thread pitch. The 1/2"x28tpi is the industry standard for all calibers .223/5.56 and smaller. Whereas, 5/8"x24tpi is used for calibers 6mm and greater. Once you get to the big boys Cheytac/BMG it is a larger thread.

If your rifle is chambered in 6.5 Grendel then you want a 5/8"x24tpi to give you enough wall thickness to preserve the rifle bore while still allowing for threading.

I'm guessing it is a standard American 6.5 Grendel that was threaded 1/2-28, and for which the previous owner used an adapter. I was faced with the same situation and opted for buying a CZ Varmint, already threaded, instead of cutting down myfavorite hunting rifle.~Riuma

That was my guess as well since its the 6.5 Grendel forum, but I thought I would ask the obvious question. I have seen somewhere of small vendor who machines muzzle thread adapters... can't find it right now.

Also not too hard to find a smith who will bore out a 223 muzzle device. Really nice if you have a can that need to be shared. Or just cut her down to 16 and make it 5/8x24 like baby jesus our lord in grendel intended.

Huges Precision. I bought a 1/2-28 to 5/8-24 adapter for my Tikka 308 from them for about $20. Excellent work. In fact, they are my first stop when I'm looking for such an item. Luckily, a 1/2-28 to 5/8-24 is not an odd ball. I recently bought a 1/2-20 to 5/8-24 for my Steyr Scout in 6.5CM. I finally ended up ordering it directly from Gunsite.~Riuma
