I wonder if, too, Texas is in a unique position, since it entered the Union via a treaty. If the treaty is violated by the federal govt, can Texas legally leave? I dont say secede since it would be via treaty violation. ??

Dan Patrick is in news this evening saying there aren't enough votes in the Senate to pass the bill. Republicans hold the Senate 18 to 13, but apparently there are some Rep senators not in favor of constitutional carry. No names named as of yet.

I wonder why. Not that I ever looked, but I would have suspected Dan Patrick would have been the type who would have had an A+ rating from the NRA.
