G&A 6mm ARC hits harder inside 300 than Grendel

In my 2 rifle examples the howa- grendel at 300 yds 1153 ft-lb, the 22" 6Arc is 1123.

Due to generally higher 6arc-BCs there is probably a cross over point somewhere.

I know right. Them big bore hogs at 15 steps just shrug off my 120 gold dots. Guess I will have too step up to 300 winmag for the close shots and save the grendel for the long stuff lol.

I agree, my thoughts too many gun rags are too worried about what they say and who is paying them to say it much like main stream media which they are apparently part of. Truth don't matter just pay us the $. THe 6mm ARC is a good cartridge but for hunting applications and especially inside 300 yards give me the Grendel every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I think Hornady dropped the ball with the introduction with the delay in announcing it and issues from the start with supply and some chambers with the ammo. The ARC it is not running along as good as they predicted.

6ARC is an incremental improvement over 6.5G, but if you handload you can do better than 6.5G factory ammo in many ways. This, to me, renders 6ARC a bit pointless if you're already shooting 6.5G.

I don’t know anything about 6 ARC and don’t know much about .224 Valkyrie, but is there a lot of crossover between those two that could be stealing the 6 ARC’s thunder?
