Thanks for the acceptance. Have been thinking about a 6.5 Grendel for many months now. Already had a lower sitting around just waiting for something to top it with so I took the plunge and bought the 18" stainless fluted complete upper from Grendel hunter. (Great service i may add). Should be here tomorrow. I cant wait to get it set up. I have done a lot of searching on this site the last couple days and you folks are a wealth of information. I am building this for mainly a deer hunting piece. Still haven't decided on the scope yet, but I have one laying around to get me started. Ill post some pics when I finally get her together.

So I received my new Grendel hunter upper today and put a scope on her that I had laying around. (Will replace later after I figure out what I want). But anyway, here she is. I plan to sight in tomorrow and hunt with her tomorrow night. MD has a three day deer season this weekend![ATTACH=CONFIG]18576[/ATTACH]

I had to turn my monitor sideways to see it good but it looks great. I'm one of your neighbors to the south but ya wouldn't be that far away but that pesky VA slipped in between. I just ordered my first Grendel AR but waiting to receive it and I'm new here as well. I'm actually close to the VA border and hunt and fish in VA as well as NC and for the first time hunted in SC too this year. Let us know how it went hunting with your Grendel? Our deer seasons are pretty long. Our deer gun season starts in November through Jan 1, but of course there is Archery season starting in Sept and 2 weeks of ML season right before gun season. I really only hunted the gun season this year but should have hunted all three of our deer seasons. Hoping to do some varmint hunting soon as well.

This thing shoots like a dream. Put it together Friday, Sighted in Saturday morning and harvested a Sika deer Saturday evening. 130 yards, Hornady Black ELD-M 123 gr. Dropped in her tracks. Cant wait to fit a new scope on her.
