I don't have a scale to give a total weight. I know the rifle's advertised weight (4lb 10oz) and the scopes advertised weight (11.1oz), but these may not be accurate, and I am not sure how the JO bottom metal affects the total. I was never able to find the DNZ game reaper's weight, but have read some people comparing it to Talley rings, so probably in the neighborhood.
The aluminum flush bottom metal weighs 3 oz and the factory plastic bottom with magazine weighs 3.2 oz so you actually lost a little weight.

HPK, I hope you chuckled a little when I was telling you about how your product worked, earlier in this thread.
CJW, I may not get a chance until I move, next spring. I will have 50-60 yards available all year then, and farther after crops are harvested. If I get lucky, I may be able to shoot it sooner at my cousins' place though, and I'll definitely report back.

It's all good feedback, I have fed and ejected thousands of rounds working on my designs so I have a lot of familiarity.
Once you get used to how something works it becomes second nature and you start to overlook some details, other peoples perspective on how a product functions or doesn't helps to improve the overall design.

My response won't be exactly apples to apples. more like apples to oranges.
I picked up a Stocky's CF mini action stock blem from them. same one used by Legacy, but it has blems. some small partial holes in the shell. not through and through, but definitely there. Looks didn't bother me. 17oz. with recoil pad and sling studs installed. CF shell, some kind of black stiff or solid dense kind of foam in the interior.
I used masking taped to tape up the interior and used Krylon Fusion all in one paint & primer - walnut brown. 2 coats. supposedly suitable for plastic/synthetic. 17.5 oz. so 1/2 oz of paint. then I accuglassed the howa mini std bbl action into the stock. after clean up was done i added scope, rail, rings, and sling. this on my 7.63x39. scope is 4X Leupold FX-II (9 oz). rail was an EGW in aluminum with 40MOA. sling was a mountain sling by uncle mikes. Rings were Leupold back country.
has a Jefferson Outdoors bottom metal. the older style with the Oberndorf floor plate release. (Thanks HokeyPokeyKid !!! works great)
6lbs 1oz with scope, rings, rail, and sling. you could go lighter with talley ringmounts if you don't care about an MOA rail.
a friend shot a 100 yard 1 MOA group with Hornady steel cased 123gr. VMAX ammo. I haven't had time to wring it out yet since complete. However it seems quite adequate to me, given the range of the round and the uses I put that little round to.
I learned that due to the way i secure the action into the stock when epoxy bedding the barreled action, with silicone rubber tubing, paint after the epoxy bedding. the rubber tubing and paint melded together. when i took the tubing off there were streaks in the paint. so I will need to touch the paint up in the future.
so that's really comparing apples to oranges. however in a month I'll begin the project of putting together my howa mini 6.5 Grendel std barrel into another of those carbon fiber blems and see where it ends up weight wise. if it also ends up at 6 lbs I'll be tickled. easy to carry all day. rifle weight appropriate to these light intermediate powered cartridges.
Incidentally, I called Legacy and asked if they'd sell me just the Stocky's CF stock since I already had the mini rifle. their answer was no. So I bought the blem.
if you don't already have the howa mini and want to go with a light weight mini howa, I'd recommend buying the carbon stalker and go from there.
once i get the mini 6.5 Grendel finished into the blem stock and painted, etc. I'll let you know how it came out. If it comes out at 6lbs like my mini in 7.62x39 i'll be a happy camper. stay tuned if interested.
