New Grendel build soon

Not new to shooting or ARs, just Grendel. I do prairie dogs, IHMSA, trap, deer , pheasants, Hunter Benchrest and have owned and loaded for a bunch of wildcats. I was big into the T/C wildcats, both long and shorter barrels. Kinda sux the time I decide to build something you cant get anything for it.

There is 6.5 Grendel products available, especially if you reload. If you need 6.5 Grendel brass check out Druid Hill Armory for brass and ammo. JSE Surplus sell quite a few 6.5 Grendel parts and LaRue Tactical sell magazines and uppers. Wilson Combat also get good reviews. Palmetto State Armory Stainless Steel 6.5 Grendel barrels and uppers get good reviews. There is a forum member rebby who operates Six Sigma Arms and their web site show they have Lilja 6.5 Grendel barrels in stock.

Welcome to the clan, vm, from the great nation of Texas. As stated above, Grendel parts are returning to vendor stock. Not yet in great quantities but they can be had. If reloadability is a big plus, be sure to pick up copies of Vol 1 and 2 of the Grendel Handbook.

Lapua brass is going to be difficult to find. There was a press release a couple months ago Lapua was suspending production on several cartridges because of supply issues. Starline brass goes up for back order every few months on Starlines web site. If you place a back order it usually ships within a couple weeks.

Unless you just have to have the 120 gr Speer, the 123 gr Hornady works fine for deer and big hogs. And I was able to get some Nosler 120 gr Ballistic Tips recently. What I really want for this caliber is the 100 gr Nosler BT, but thats just a dream so far.
