Shipping time

What is the typical shipping time for a barrel? The website advertised 6-8 weeks, but when I sent an email to get an update on my order I was told 10-12 weeks. Just wondering if this is normal

I’ve been waiting 12 weeks for my AR 308 heavy barrel from Mark. I sent him an email last week still waiting for a reply.

Guys I have been at SHOT show Jan 18 to 25 and then Great American Out door Show Jan 30 to Feb 10. Ill try to see what I can do about shipping times. All barrels are about 12 to 14 weeks. Havbe been that way for a couple of years. I will have my web people correct that on the website. I cannot look up your orders by using your avatars here as I have no idea who you are. With over 200 barrels in the works, I cant look it up without a order number. I personally make every single barrel that goes through this place so Yes I am the bottle neck. I personally dont assemble many of the rifles and uppers but I do inspect each one.

I'm about to hit 17 weeks. Mark is supposed to make the best barrels but this wait time is definitely a test of patience.

I ordered a heavy AR308 rifle barrel personally from Mark on Nov 27. He said I would have it by the middle of January. I waited until 3rd week of Jan and emailed him.No reply. Emailed again a week later ,still no reply. Called him beginning February and he said that I should have my barrel in 2 weeks. Called beginning of March he again said 2 weeks. I’m thinking he didn’t even check on my barrel .Going on 18 weeks now and I haven’t heard anything.
Precision Firearms makes nice barrels. But so do other guys. I ordered two AR barrels from Craddock on November 1. I just got them last week. Which would be close to 20 weeks. Difference is that Paul Craddock always got back to me and let me know what was going on. Which is why Craddock will continue to get my business.

I know exactly what you are going thru. I sent Mark a Lilja barrel in November and did not receive the completed gun until the following April.

Prior to ordering if you knew anything about PF it should have been to not believe the stated delivery time. It’s no secret.

I’ve kidded with Mark about the 6-8 week thing really meaning 16-18 but I will continue to business with him.

I don’t worry about the long wait because I expect it. However, like Flshooter alluded to, PF’s communication could be better.

You guys are doing a little better than I am. I haven't been waiting but 9 or 10 wks but, I have never gotten a single text, email,invoice,or confirmation of my order. The only way I think I know I ordered a barrel is the credit card was billed. Nice set up, get paid immediately and wait for 3-4 months. Ive ordered benchrest barrels from the best and I always knew what the wait was going to be. This is just a guessing game!
