Timney Trigger for Howa Mini

When I recently spoke to Timney via email they stated they didn't have a trigger they could recommend for the Mini action. Someone here has used a Timney made for a Howa 1500 or Weatherby Vanguard. Can you please share your experiences and let me know if modification were made to make it work/fit, etc? I'm over the Jard and moving on..

I don’t have everything in front of me but I did install the timney 1500 Howa into my mini grrr. Install was easy, it was the adjustable one. No mods needed just take the one out and drop in. Now the ruger Predator was harder b/c of how they do the safety connecting rod but Howa was simple.

I have one. Like mentioned, installation was easy. They are adjustable, but you need a box end wrench and allen wrench. I think it's easiest to order the pull weight you want from Timney.

I just checked mine, I also opened up the front of the trigger guard (Jefferson Outdoor) as the Timney is a different shape or sits differently than the HACT trigger did. I did this to make sure that the trigger and trigger guard had no interference. Others may not have to do this, but I did a DIY bedding, pillaring, centering, clean up of the boyds stock so my barrel was centered and so my bolt handle was centered.

I guess I should add I had the dip bottom metal piece installed.

Thanks for the info. I have one inbound and hope JARD refunds my money. I had to open the Oregunsmithing metal to fit it so hopefully the Timney fits well in it.
