What is the better choice 130gr bullet or 140gr for past 1100 yds? And what is a good temp controlled powder for said 130gr or 140Gr bullets? Im using 8208XBR currently for both. Using a Grendel AR of course.
Over the weekend I shot at a match using Sie 130gr TGK, its all I had on hand, to shoot out to 1100 yds. These courses can go out to 1200yds.

ive been doing alot of testing with bullets in the 130-140+ range
130 rdf
130 eld-m
135 a-tip
140 hornady bthp match
140 eld-m
the rdf is a nice bullet but after shooting paper at beyond ,1400-1500y i have noticed those bullets have started to tumble , at grendel mv's this bullet needs a 1-7.5 twist ( im going to retest theese bullets when my new 28" inch grendel barrel arrives )
when it comes tot he 130 eld-m i think the 123 eld-m is a better choice ill take the extra speed over the tiny gain in bc anyday, ive shot to 1560y with the 123g eld-m
the 135 a-tip has proven to be very accurate and does not tumble at extreme ranges ( tested to 1760y) and i can push theese about 100-150fps faster then the 140g class bullets
the 140g class bullets are very accurate in my rifle the bthp is the first bullet i shot a mile with in my grendel , i have not had a chance to check out the eld-m 140 at range yet , and havent been able to check to see if either 140 bullet starts to tumble at extreme ranges yet

What setup are you running to get that far out with a Grendel?

if you're going to run 123gr. and heavier bullets in the Grendel, consider H4895. it has one of the lowest temp coefficients around. if i recall about 1/2 or 1/3 of what Benchmark has.

Just a plain old 20" gren I'm doing a proper 28" build just waiting on my barrel whick should b 2 more weeks

6000ft but da varies alot
