Is anyone loading/shooting cast bullets in an AR-style Grendel? I've got a bunch of ammo, but I'm looking for a load that doesn't tear up coyote hides. It'd be nice if it cycled the action, too. Thanks for any input.

That same NOE bullet was copied from my custom LBT mould. The bullet cast in about 12BHn alloy of my own blend (47-33-20 ww-Pb-lino) has killed a few goats to 135yds so far over 11gn Blue dot for about 1600fps from 21in barrel. This is a bolt rifle but there is no reason that starting at 8gn and working up should not produce a decent shootable load. I got a good laod at 8 gn but felt it was a little slow so worked up to 11gn where it has a usable P O I with the scope sighted for the A Max. I wouldn't go much past 13gn with Blue Dot. This is not position sensitive so dosent need fillers.

I picked the NOE mould a couple of months ago. I have a similar objective. I'd like to generate an inexpensive plinking load that's reasonably accurate out to 200 that cycles the action. I haven't cast anything yet though. I am shooting a JP Enterprises upper. It shoots so scary accurate (I am flirting with 1/4 MOA) that I hesitate to do anything that would lead the barrel and mess with the accuracy.
I'd be curious to see what you come up with. I have a keg of BL(C)2 that I would like to use.

After the Blue Dot loads I have also tried BL-C2, H335 and Varget. Varget is the only powder that produced anything like reasonable loads for accuracy past 2200fps but it required a different load technique. I used straight wheel weight but that alloy went through 8 x 3 ltr water jugs and the backboard and left a 6.5 cal hole through them all so was no good for hunting purposes. I have other trial slated for this summer and will go back to the Varget and be content with somewhere in the 1850fps for velocity as that will easily kill to 150yds with the 47-33-20 alloy and use the A Max past that distance. I have also trialled aluminium as well as copper gaschecks and have found that certain loads shoot better with one type over the other. Low velocity loads under about 1600fps definitely preferred the aluminium gas check but faster than that in the 6.5 the copper check does better. This was the 2208/varget trials at 1733fps and note the difference between the al and the cu gaschecks grouping along with the POI from using the A MAX scope setting centered in the circle. I have noted the aiming point for a 100 yd center hit on the mil dot /crosshair sketch
And the Blue Dot plinker at 1650fps

I think I would be aiming to get about 1800 fps (to replicate a very successful 45-70 cast bullet load I have). I have a bunch of wheel weights. When I cast bullets for my 45-70 I used wheel weights dropped out of the mould into a bucket of water. But I also want it to cycle the action and be fairly accurate. That's the goal.

I have never used a jacketed bullet in QL and have always loaded the data in manually. If you change the shot start pressure from the default 3000psi back to 1000psi for the cast bullet you will get a better velocity and pressure analysis.
Going to this page there is data from your bullet that is entered manually.

I've never used lead in my ARs but I've used LaserCast in my 30-30 at jacketed velocity. I've also used it with TrailBoss at very low velocity. If you have trouble with leading, you might consider powder coating your bullets. I've had great results out of the 45 Colt even at Tier 3 pressure. If you coat the base, it will prevent in vapors from building lead in the gas system.
