Reloading Noob Primer Question

Greetings Horde,

I took the plunge on a Lee turret reloading press, the brown truck should be delivering it any day now, and the scavenger hunt is on for components.

I have both of the Grendel Reloading manuals. I'll likely start with the tried-and-true CFE223 and 123gr. A-Max.

My brass is a combo of once-shot Wolf and Horanday (4:1 Wolf).

My neighbor has a box of 1000 Sellier & Bellot large rifle primers he bought in error, and I can trade him a box of 30 carbine for it.

Question: Can I use these primers in the Wolf brass?

These primers are not listed in the Grendel handbooks, but I have found S&B to be reasonable quality ammo.

I wouldnt know why not, if the Wolf cases take lrp they should work fine. Hornady brass of course takes srp.

Yes the s&b primers will b fine. Bwild here on forum worked up several loads couple years back with those primers

I've used the S&B primers in PPU brass, they seem to fit snug in my brass that has been loaded two or three times. I've only chronographed a few loads with the S&B primers and the SD was good.
