How well

How well did the 129 rds group. I have a box of 129 SST I am going to try to load some up. Have cfe223, benchmark some Tac and X terminator. Iam new to this and a bit slow getting around and reading all the info. Very impressive I have a 6.8 and a 6.5 Grendel and just love the Grendel. All around a better round. Thanks for your time

For 129gr, I would only use the CFE. TAC and X-Terminator are too fast for 129gr in Grendel.

Start with 29.0gr and work up in .3gr increments with ladders, not batches. See where your tightest speeds are between charge weights.

Don't exceed 31.7gr of CFE under the 129gr SST.

27.0 grains of XBR runs 2160fps out of my 12.5" Lilja pistol. None to slight deformation of bullet tip. Accuracy several 2 hole groups at 200 yards. Ringing steel at 350yards with 23" drop. 200 yard zero. This ought to be a great little coyote/deer in close gun!

I normally used .5 gr difference and did 5 round groups min to max. It's too easy to change to .3 gr. Not sure what you are referring to as a ladder. I also have XBR. As far as the usage for the bullet deer, hog, coyote, all have an equal opportunity to play "catch the bullet" (came off a varmet movie called "Winter Magic"). I am in MO and do have a hog problem, most likely deer. I built this more like a long range bench rifle. It's pretty heavy. Would not want to carry it more than 20 minutes. Wanted something where I know I can play catch with a small critter out to 400. Personally only have a 247 yard range at my house to shoot.
I finally got a .5 MOA load for coyote on my 6.8 set at 200 yard zero. Also have a good load with Barns 110gr for youth hunt.
