Does it matter what dies I use for a .264LBC chamber? I see RCBS has .264LBC dies and lots others have 6.5G dies. Would it make a difference which I should get? Trying for maximum accuracy (surprise).
Thanks,
Hawk
Makes no difference. According to Hornady the Grendel and 264 LBC Ar brass and dies are the same. The only difference is the chamber, Grendel has .300 neck and LBC AR has .295 neck. The difference is .005. When you fire a Grendel the brass neck will be .300 and the LBC AR will be .295. The Grendel and LBC AR dies resize the brass to .289 and when loaded with powder and bullet inserted the neck is .291. Ammo for either Grendel or LBC AR will work in both.
Hornady states the dies for the Grendel and LBC AR are the same dies. The only difference is the label on the box. One says Grendel and the other says 264 LBC AR.
