Going to try the nosler. Looking for some powder primer combos that you like. Using hornady brass. Thanks in advance

I have had very good accuracy with 29.0 grain H-335 and CCI 450 primers with 100 grain Nosler BT. This load is not hot in my rifles but accurate and very pleasant to shoot.

I've been shooting the 100 Nosler bt for a few years now. Excellent results on everything from white tails on down.

      I run 29.9 gr of Xbr 8208 in a 20" bartlien barrel

      29.6 gr of 8208 in a 20" lilja barrel

      cci 450 primer

      oal at 2.25

      No chrono

      Good luck

Max load from Hodgdon's is 30.8C of 8208XBR under 100gr NBT at 47,600psi.

You can't get enough 8208XBR under a 100gr in the Grendel case, but you still get fast speed and tight SDs, very accurate.

29.0gr under a 100gr NBT only generates 38,300psi of chamber pressure.

8208 with cup and core 100gr bullets is a really good combination of performance, low working pressure, and over 100% case fill.

I got 2675fps from my AA 16" barrel when I first started loading for 6.5 Grendel, using 30.4gr of 8208XBR under a 100gr Nosler Ballistic Tip, which is .4gr under max load and under 47,000psi.

LRRPF52, do you think I should re-run my ladder but start at .3 more than my current loads to look for another node?

Iirc, I started at 29 and worked up to 30.2 in .3 gr increments. I don't have a chrono and recall warnings that 8208 spikes quickly.

8208 spikes with 123gr, where you don't want to exceed 28.5gr under the 123gr SMK.

With the 100gr NBT, I would work up in .3gr increments if you want more speed. I worked up in .2gr increments back then for some reason.

I have tried CFE behind 100grs Bal Tip with great results.

In a bolt gun you can easily reach + 2800f/s with 34-34,3grs in Lapua cases, with Russian SRM primers

In an AR I'm not sure it's safe

30 gr of Benchmark is my poison for 100 gr pills, 2800 fps on average and cloverleaf groups at 100

Same results here as well. I use 29.4 gr benchmark for my 100 ttsx loads. They're a little hot already and compressed in hornady brass. How were you able to get 30 gr in there?

Going to have to try some cfe behind 100 ttsx in the bolt gun. What barrel length? Mine will be out of a 18".

30 gr of Benchmark had never been any trouble for me to fit infact my 95 gr V-max load I use 30.3 both in Hornady Brass.Man my hunting partner shot those Barnes 85 gr TSX out his 243 last year and them things are lethal !!! He dropped about everything he shot at on spot out to 500 yards. Defanantly good stuff

                              Mine are 18,5"

With a 100 TTSX I do not think I would load above 33,3-33,5grs CFE.
