Heads up on CFE Powder Types that may confuse some

There are at least 3 different types of Hodgdon's CFE, with the recent addition of Pistol and CFE BLK for the .300 AAC.

What you use for 6.5 Grendel should look like this, and is labeled "CFE 223", not the above powders.

NRA Basic, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, RSO

CCW, CQM, DM, Long Range Rifle Instructor

6.5 Grendel Reloading Handbooks & chamber brushes can be found here:

Interesting and good to know. I'm a fan of CFE-223 and use it in both .308 and 6.5G loadings. Haven't used either of the other CFE's, didn't know about the CFE-BLK. I see on the label, it's optimized for subsonics. How does it compare to A-1680 in 300BLK loads?

Thanks for the heads up. I have had to do double takes before to be sure.
