Is that primed or de primed?

          Ppu

Not trying to hijack this thread but could not find a more appropriate place to ask. Is there anything wrong for PPU brass for reloading the grendel? Have used successfully for 7x57 and 6.5x55.

PPU ammo was recalled mid 2017 for over pressure and IIRC weak brass. The Brass is known to be weak. Only good for 1 or 2 reloads then loose primer pockets.

Thanks, sticks, hope i dont win that auction then! Half ppu and half hornady. Guess i never saw the problem with the 6.5x55 and 7x57 cause both are built on 100 year old military actions and therefore loaded to appropriate pressures!

Deburred flash holes on 250 pieces, what a waste of time. They were clean and consistent. Though the brass seemed a bit on the soft side.

It sizes VERY easily. I looked at all the flash holes and decided not to touch them as they were almost perfect

Do a "primer pocket test" - set up 5 or 10 and run them through several loading/reloading sets, take size notes after firing-before/after re-sizing... see how long the primer pockets last. For federal they start to loosen up on 1st reload (after first firing), then even looser at 2x fired...
This would give an indication of expected brass life...
I don't anneal so if I can get 5 or so reloads out of my brass I'm pretty happy with that.
