my 18" budget build really does well shooting the Wolf stuff. I got some from Graf & Sons for $5.99/20rndsShooting 100yds I got excellent groups, a little bit of horizontal stringing, but I think the way it looked on target, I am doing that with my trigger pull.
I use an old steel water well pressure tank to hang targets on, the Grendel blows big holes in that tank. Real metal shredder. Hiding behind a modern import car would be absolutely no protection from a Grendel round. I have also exploded several large pieces of river rock down in the creek. Grendel does hit hard.
Another thing I noticed, the Wolf steel was not as dirty firing as the Hornady Black I have tried. I was stunned as I figured the Wolf would be like most 7.62x39 Wolf I have fired and be pretty dirty, but the gun ran good and cleaned up easy
I really hope the availability and price of the Wolf gets better, I will shoot a bunch of it.
Outlier shots on this target were me shooting off at the other parts of the target messing with my ocular focus on the Sig Whisky 3 mounted on this gun WIN_20180322_14_06_12_Pro.jpg
