    Hornady black vs Federal American

Hey guys, I'm wondering what results you all have had with the Hornady black 123 ELD and the Federal American Eagle 120 OTM. Im looking to pick up some ammo and found a good deal on both. I know each rifle will like what it likes, an past performance is not indicitave of future results and all, but just looking for a group consensus.

My rifle really likes hornady black 123 ELD. Will be able to tell you about Hornady American Gunner next weekend. The horde was kind enough to leave some behind on Sportsman Warehouse long enough for me to catch it in stock. The American Eagle ammo I thought was a bit expensive every time I saw it in stock. I will be interested to see what others think of it as well.

I have had excellent results from the American Eagle 120gr, but that was only 100 test rounds. Damned accurate ammo, damned expensive and crappy brass for reloading.

Curious why you say American Eagle is bad brass. Just in the 6.5 Grendel? Isn't it the same as Federal?

Federal / American Eagle brass is for lack of a better term, weak, and will not take near as many reloadings before the brass wears out Unlike Hornady and Lapua.
