I played with 129 LRABs for a while using mostly AR-Comp. Because it took me a while to develop a workable bench technique for an AR (I've been a bolt-action shooter and all my equipment was so oriented), I'm not sure just how good my load really was, but I pushed it on up to 27.0 grains. I'm sure that's very close to max---if not a little over.
When I get my new 20-inch barrel I may just give that load another try. I have a box of it stashed away.

For my 20" Howa, 30.8 of CFE, cci450, Hornady brass, 2.280 = 2450 ft/s but haven't shot it much this year as I'm using the Ablr's in my CM. Both the 129 sst and Ablr showed pretty good results in the 30.4-30.8 range of CFE.
I've moved to the 123's and the 110 Control Chaos for the Howa."Down the floor, out the door, Go Brandon Go!!!!!"

I would love to give the 129 lrab a try but they seem to have the same thing in common with the Sierra 120 Pro Hunter THEY HAVE VANISHED FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH. I have a stash of the 120 PH but had no 129 lrab. One of these days I may give them a try if they just happen to re-appear. LOL

Armorally.com has them in stock; I ordered 3 boxes (100 per box) this weekend, they should be here today or tomorrow! If you google them 129gr ABLR 6.5mm, a few places (smaller, lesser known) have them in stock.

123SST is probably going to be my go to for coyote hunting, and either the 129 ABLR or 120 Gold Dot will be my deer load for this year in my Howa 20" HB.

Thanks for the link. I have enough bullets 120 Sierra PH and Speer GD with loads worked up for both of my ARs ready to deer hunt this season but it all depends on what Florence does as to if I will actually get to hunt this year. I hunt in Halifax Co. NC and the farm has not decided if it is liquid or solid in normal times so it does not take a whole lot of rain to turn it into a lake and make it un-huntable. This has happened a few times over the past 30 years. Was actually there hunting when a tropical storm came through and it dropped 8 inches of rain and water was anywhere from knee deep to chest deep so I had to go home. It was not a total loss though because I had already been there for one week and had killed a few deer already so I was not meatless for the year.

Im really curious about this too. The 129 ABLR sure looks like the current contender for best grendel hunting bullet...if it shoots.
It could take my grendel hunter from being a 350 yard gun to a 500 yard gun.
When i get some time im gonna try them with 8208, CFE, and maybe some H335

I had decided to go with 100-grain Partitions in my 16-inch GB Faxon, but when I saw the 20-inch GB Green Mountain I decided I had to go for it. I got the rifle put back together yesterday, and just happen to have 50 rounds of the last 129-grain LRABs I loaded (27.0 AR-Comp....it's definitely max in my limited Grendel experience) but never fired. If the Green Mountain likes them I may go back to them. I was getting 2300 fps out of them in the Faxon, and I think the 20-inch barrel might give me up to 2425 or maybe a little more. The velocity gain is just gravy IF I can get the kind of accuracy I want. Naturally, I sold off all my 129 LRABs a couple of weeks ago and will have to lay in more when they're available again.
