    123gr Scenar data

Seems to be scarce with not a central location. Lapua loading manual is too much denero. Found a few loads in the Grendel handbook but not quite sure about the seating depth. Planning on starting with 2.260 with ARcomp and Tac. Any thoughts. They are arriving today I will check the depth to the lands but pretty sure there will wiggle room.

I don't know for sure if the Vihtavouri manual has it or not.

It does, but only their powders. https://www.vihtavuori.com/reloading.../?cartridge=68

Some Scenar data from the source back in the day. Looks like AA loaded to 2.265.

Just got they are long sleek and sexy looks like 4000fps sittin still. Depth to lands on this one is a must takes up quite a bit of case capacity. I have Varget but the velocity looks low think I will go 8208xbr first. Will try the 2.265 the C products will take it the Elander may not.

They take up a lot of case capacity for sure. You're going to need a slow burning but dense powder. 8208 may not be dense enough.

I use XBR over 123s. Feels a bit compressed when you start hitting the 28s and I even load mine long at 2.31. Overall tends to group under moa in my howa

Depth to the lands measures 2.377 and mag length is 2.274 so I have some room to go to the 2.265 that the Lapua data shows. Will report back range day tomorrow with those and Nosler 120BT's

No I took the .223 will go to the range again Tue. or Wed. I ordered a sonic cleaner to give the brass a final washing to get all the lube off. Learned one thing....Do not put Lemishine in the sonic cleaner to acidic for the brass for the pins it's OK.

Frosty does not care 123gr. Boolits I have yet to find one I have tried ELDM, SST, Sierra (may try them again) and now Lapua.

                      123 Lapua

120 Gr. Nosler BT's almost identical loads

I am going to experiment with the seating depth on the Lapua I had some feed issues with the Elander mag at 2.265 OAL

I'm shooting a Precision Firearms Upper with Les Baer 264 LBC 20" barrel. My standard load is:

                        Alexander Arm 6.5 Grendel Brass
                        28.0gr 8208xbr
                        Scenar 123
                        CCI 450 primer
                        2.27"
                        2490 fps

My barrel likes this load. From last Sunday at 200 meters. I was testing with an inexpensive Athlon Talos BTR 4-14 thinking that I was probably going to go back to my SWFA 12X on the Grendel (The Talos BTR reticle almost completely obscures the 1" round target stickers at 200meters), but.... damn.

May need to try BFT's (might have been LR1955) "Barrel Tester Load" of 123 SMK and x.x grains of a certain powder. If it does not shoot, replace the barrel.
