I got to say I see a bunch of guys complaining they can't shoot sub moa groups with wolf but for the life of me I can't understand why guys would think steel case fmj ammo is anything more then shtf/plinking/home defense ammo.
Bottom line if someone wants under 2 inches groups with wolf they need a barrel from AA. My 16 inch shoots 10 round groups at hundred easliy doing 1.5 and have bagged the rifle on the bench and seen a few 5 shot groups close to a inch.

AA barrels on average tend to shoot Com Bloc ammo better than the rest.
I don't expect sub moa, but when I as a shooter can shoot 2 different factory loading's at .4 consistently I would hope that Wolf would do better than it does. It's not the case, it's not the powder....it's that darn undersized bullet. Damn shame that they never brought back the PPU/Gold line.Sticks
Catchy sig line here.

I emailed MKS Supply, the distributor for Barnaul, and asked when the new Grendel ammo will be available. I also asked if the bullet diameter will be the correct .264, or will it be undersized like the Wolf ammo. The V.P. of Sales and Marketing replied that it should be in stores approximately February 1st-10th.
As for the bullet diameter, she went to the G.M. and forwarded the following the next day:
Dear Sir,
The projectile we will use will be optimized to provide accuracy in shorter barrels employing conventional rifling twist rate of at least 1 in 7.5" for a 16 inch long barrel.
We have found during testing that this will produce accuracy of around 1.0 MOA with good consistency.
Small number of groups were slightly larger, but not more than 1.5 MOA.
Testing in match barrels with 5R or canted transition rifling did not yield acceptable accuracy.
This is largely due to the jacket construction, and projectile diameter has a minimal effect.
Fouling has a noticeable degrading effect in 5R barrels.
Sincerely,
Bill Alexander

My thinking is it will be the same we been getting from wolf only now it will come in a different box with a different name on it.
Long as the price doest go up per round I'm cool with whoever loads and ships it, I use it for what it is cheap plinking and shtf/home/self defense short range ammo.
