Winchester extreme point bullets

Winchester has a Creedmoor load with a 125gr plastic tipped bullet. Any body know how long they are?

Winchester offers 5 Creedmoor loads; 2 125gr open tip the 125gr EXP and 2 loads in 140+gr. All the 125gr sound good for the Grendel if they aren't too long. But they aren't listed as separate components yet.

Long as they aren't over 1.4 they will be fine for the G. If you find some of those loads on a great sale price. Buy some and pull them down and work a load in the G with that bullet and see what it does.

I did almost the same thing with the grendel fusion ammo. It shoot great in my 16 inch. I pulled them dumped the powder into a can and worked it back up with original powder and new seating depth and new howdy watch out mr piggy.

I ask Winchester to load the Grendel or sell the bullets as components. I'll see if they answer back. Last time all they said was no. I'll check on that ammo.

I got an answer back from Winchester "We will not be offering ammunition in the 6.5 Grendel cartridge." Chatted with Debbie at Remington. She said she would pass my request for Grendel ammo along to product development.

Remington doesn't even have any in house bullets that would work in the Grendel. At least Winchester has the two 125gr that should work. I'll bug them about selling the EP as a component.

2.850" wouldn't even fit in my Ruger magazine for the Creedmoor. I have to be 2.835" or less.
