    129 SST Good Load

Well she likes 'em heavy and hot-ish...and she's got a fast barrel. 16" SAMMI ARP 3R.
    http://www.65grendel.com/forum/showthread.php?21600-My-Version-of-the-Ultimate-AR

Tried some factory ammo and have tested some other loads, but the heavy's are shooting well. 130RDF, 129 IL, and 129SST. Been working the 129 SST and got it dialed in:

    Hornady once fired brass
    AR COMP
    CCI 450
    129 SST
    CTO 1.650"
    COL 2.255"-2.260"

    Ran a ladder from 25.5 to 27.0
    Load - AVG - SD - ES
    25.5 - 2294 - 20 - 39
    25.8 - 2323 - 1 - 3
    26.1 - 2355 - 7 - 15
    26.4 - 2381 - 6 - 13
    26.7 - 2412 - 18 - 36
    27.0 - 2425 - 4 - 8

Good groups in general but the best were at 26.4 & 26.7. Loaded 10 more at 26.6 and got great 5 shot groups, ~.625". Went and confirmed with another two 5 shot groups today and we have a winner...and a darn good hunting round if you ask me.

    26.6 - 2404 - 7 - 15 Shot String 2401, 2413, 2399, 2398, 2411

Very pleased...and surprised with the speed I am getting from a 16" barrel, so I tested some factory Federal Fusion I had in the safe. AVG-2510, SD-9, ES-19 shot a 0.826" group...also not a bad option for hunting. It was shocking this 120GR factory load shot well because I've been struggling with the Gold Dot's on this gun. I may have to try 8208 XBR vs. ARCOMP...

I finally invested in the MagnetoSpeed Sporter a month ago...what a difference knowing the actual speed of the projectile makes. Very easy to setup.

Happy as a puppy with two peters right now.

My current go to bullet is the 129sst

25.8 8208XBR, COL 2.276, (don't know fps as my chrono is at a friends last range trip)

20" barrel, No pressure signs, at that COL I am still .003 off the lands and fit perfect in my mags. Did some testing last year on COL with this bullet and my grouping tightened up nicely as I bridged that gap and shortened bullet jump.

XBR is my go to powder for several calibers now. Good stuff,
