load testing hornady 135g atip with alliant power pro varmint

just picked up a box of 135g a-tips im going to guess theese will leave the muzzle at around 2500fps out of my 20 inch hopefully my lee or rcbs seating stem works fine for theese
im going to do my starting loads a lil higher then normal since all my load development has ended up on the high to above book max so far and theese bullets arent cheap so no point in starting to low

You can always modify your seating stem using JB Weld or some other strong epoxy or glass bedding. Just be sure to put a release agent on the bullet you use to form the seat.

    Thanks, Dinny

id rather not modify my seating stem , however if neither stem i have works good i may just machine a new stem for my lee die in the lathe out of delrin or aluminum

They're sure sleek-looking! I'm looking forward to hearing how they do for you.

28.2 shot a .732 edge to edge group . 28.5 shot .562 edge to edge 3 rd group , stopped for the night not enough light for chrono data so ill pick up with more tommorow, going to try 28.4 and 28.6

It will be interesting to see where this goes. I have been thinking of trying out these bullets.
