    90gr TNT Loads

    Hey Fellas!

I have been having great success with the NightOps 90gr TNT loads and have stocked up a bunch of bullets.

Anyone care to share what your best loads are with the 90gr TNT's.

I have the following powders on hand:
    Varget
    IMR 4895
    H335
    8208 XBR
    CFE 223

Hornady brass and CCI Magnum SR Primers.

    Thanks!

31.0 grains of WC844 (Military surplus powder equivalent to H335). Gives me 0.22" groups at 2622 f/s velocity.

Loaded up some of the wolf steel case with the stock powder that comes with it at 30.5 grs at 2.2" oal for some hunting rounds. Does about 2700+ fps out of my 16" Alexander arms lightweight.

Any of y'all shooting these out of 12" guns? I'm using tac and I'm up to 31.8 and only into the mid 2400s. Seems like the factory load is about 200fps faster.... This is my thermal/pig gun so energy matters....

The Grendel really started to shine when I switched to H322. An old bench rest powder that excels in small to medium cases. I have two CZ bolt guns in the Grendel and both will shoot sub MOA on a regular basics. Have not tried the 90 TNT, but best groups ever came with the Sierra 85 HP and H322 combo. Both rifles also like the Sierra 120 pro Hunter bullets. The CZ MTR has shot many groups in the .2s and .3s. My pencil barrel CZ does almost as well with the first three shots, after the barrel warms, opens up to about .7. The pencil barrel has been glass bedded, the MTR has not been altered. As well as the Grendel does in an AR platform, it is just amazing in a good bolt gun............The 6.5 Grendel has become my favorite bottle-neck cartridge......Don
